We explored the bounding aspects of hawthorn and the watery qualities of willow.

Hawthorn is the hottest burning wood.

The hawthorn trunks in the Severn Valley resemble the chimera fire forms of Greek mythology, this observation was accentuated by painting the inside with nearby clay.

Willows grow by rivers and pools; both leaves and pollen are carried with the water flow.
